The Bible teaches us that to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, we must become like little children. In Matthew 18:3-5, Jesus tells his disciples that whoever takes the lowly position of a child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. But why does God describe the greatest in the Kingdom as children? In this article, we will explore the significance of children in the Bible and what we can learn from them.
Who are these little children? According to Matthew 18:6, these little children are those who believe in Jesus. Jesus also warned us not to despise one of these little ones in Matthew 18:12. In the same way, our Father in Heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish in Matthew 18:14. Therefore, we can infer that these little ones are precious to God and we should treat them with love and respect.
