Scripture: “Give us today our daily bread.” Matthew 6:11 NIV https://bible.com/bible/111/mat.6.11.NIV
Observation: In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches us the Lord's Prayer and encourages us not to worry about the future. He reminds us that each day has enough trouble of its own and to focus on living in the present moment.
As I reflect on this scripture, I realize how often I get caught up in worrying about the future and forget to enjoy the present moment. Jesus reminds us to ask for our daily bread and to focus on today. By living in the present, we can find peace and fulfillment.
This doesn't mean that we shouldn't plan for the future, but rather that we shouldn't let the worries of tomorrow consume us. Instead, we should take each day as it comes and make the most of it. When we focus on today, we are more likely to be productive and less likely to procrastinate.
As I pray the Lord's Prayer, I will focus on asking for my daily bread and trusting that God will provide for me. I will strive to live in the present moment and find joy in each day.
