Luke 10 contains a powerful reminder from Jesus that the ultimate reason for rejoicing is not in our gifts and abilities, but in the fact that our names are recorded in heaven. We are given gifts by the Lord to spread the Good News of Jesus' salvation, and our ultimate purpose is to glorify Him by sharing this message with others.
Jesus rejoices when we share the gospel, and this was His purpose when He came to earth. In Luke 10:22, He reveals that all things have been transferred and turned over to Him by His Father, and that only those whom the Son chooses can know Him. This means that we are chosen personally by the Lord, and that Salvation are revealed to us not because of our research or study, but because Jesus chooses to reveal Himself to us.
In the same chapter, Jesus rejoices over the return of the 72 disciples who spread the good news about salvation. He gave them abilities as a testimony of the Gospel, just as He has given us God-given gifts to share His message with others.
Salvation is hidden from the wise and intelligent, but revealed to the humble, according to Luke 10:21. This is the Lord's gracious will and choice, and Jesus reveals that these things are revealed to Him by the Father, and He then reveals these things to His chosen people.
Our purpose is to spread the Gospel, the love of God, and salvation through our God-given gifts. Blessed ( joyful, spiritually enlightened, favored by God), and those who see the greatness of the Lord in us.
Therefore, to fulfill our role as stewards, we must strive to excel in every skill that He has bestowed upon us, giving our best effort in all we do. May it be business, work, singing, dancing, playing an instrument, or sports. We should always remember that our ultimate reason for rejoicing is not in our abilities or accomplishments, but in the fact that our names are recorded in heaven. These abilities is a reflection and a tesminony of the Gospel and God will use it to spread the Good News about Salvation.
